Home Start Glasgow North is taking over a whole area of Super Market at Engine Works on Sunday 1st December to create a magical world for all children as part of the Winter Wonderland. In a space for parents, carers and children to play, write letters to santa, enjoy arts & crafts and make reindeer dust, visitors will be able to talk with Home Start volunteers about the work they do for families with young children.
Parents and carers are invited to book a space for children at the Slanj Bear Grotto. Santa is extremely busy making toys, training the reindeer and wrapping presents – so he has asked Home Start Glasgow North’s mascot Slanj Bear to take over Grotto duties for one day to spread Christmas joy at Super Market and also to help raise much needed funds for Home Start.
Entry to the Grotto costs £3, with an option to pay £5 to further support Home-Start:
– Children will get to meet Slanj in the Grotto. Parents & carers are welcome to take photos and children will receive a small gift.
– Super Markets invite those who can to ‘Pay It Forward’ to help raise extra funds for Home Start and enable them to give some extra joy to to support families with young children who are facing difficulties this festive season. 100% of proceeds go directly to Home Start Glasgow North.
