Last week, volunteers have been helping us in our Home-Start GNNL garden in Maryhill. We have given it a make-over with a Diversity and Inclusion theme!
We are always committed to Equality, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion as we want ALL to feel welcome within our Home-Start whether its staff, families, volunteers or anyone who comes along for a visit!
With it being Pride Month and to show our support, the garden now has rainbow bunting and plant boxes and the LGBTQ+ flag, as well as images to include ethnic diversity, disability and neurodiversity. There are scents, textures and colours in the planting to encourage mindful awareness, great for promoting good mental health for everyone.
The garden is open for all to visit and will host seed-planting and other activities for children during our West Fest open day on Fri 28th June 12-3pm, so please come along.
