On 13th May, we were delighted to deliver a key note speech and contributions on Community Connections at the Maternal Mental Health Scotland Conference in Glasgow.
Taking place at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow, this years conference was opened by Minister for Mental Health, Clare Haughey, and was chaired by Hugh Masters, Chair, Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Programme Board.
Our Manager Nikki opened the session by highlighting our work and the development of our specialist understanding and support in perinatal and wider maternal mental health. This was followed by a fantastic contribution from our Service Development Lead, Cheryl Mercer, who is also a MMHS Change Agent. Cheryl shared her own experiences, including PTSD, and the lack of consistent support available when it was needed.
We are delighted to have supported this years conference and also to be a member of the MMHS Board, helping shape mental health support for families.
